Replying to "Toni - this is the PR right? https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/pull/11902" yeah

  • spencer

Replying to "with or without ht..." both yeah

  • jochem-brouwer

It still uses Nick's method and not CREATE2 method

  • jochem-brouwer

Antwoord verzenden naar "It still uses Nick..." The initcode also needs an audit such that the initcode+salt is not dependent on env variables, such that we are guaranteed that if the code deposits, it deposits the correct runtime bytecode

  • Justin Traglia

    Audio’s a bit choppy

  • Parithosh Jayanthi

Replying to "It still uses Nick's..." @pk910 was looking into this afaik

  • terence

    MicDAO

  • Nico Flaig

being able to submit exits before the fork seems fine

  • jochem-brouwer

Each predeploy is deployed exactly as the EIP-7002 and EIP-7251 request contracts are: by a one-time presigned transaction from a single-use deployer account (the Nick's-method scheme),

  • Luca Donno | L2BEAT

    Reacted to "MicDAO" with 😃

  • Cayman Nava

Ah, need to update the EIP language to match

  • jochem-brouwer

This is in current EIP, is there a draft PR for it to update ?

  • jochem-brouwer

Antwoord verzenden naar "It still uses Nick..." Great, thanks 😍

  • Felix (Geth)

Replying to "being able to subm..." that's not how it was implemented though. with the current initcode for builder_exits, the queue is disabled at deployment and will reset on the first system call.

  • Nico Flaig

Replying to "being able to submit..." that seems also fine

  • terence

  • Nico Flaig

Reacted to "Fable busy working o..." with 😄

  • Toni Wahrstätter

What is the reason why p2p can by sybil attacked? Aren't we authenticating?

  • Nico Flaig

I don't like the fallback to trusted builders, why we need that while local building is still possible?

  • Justin Traglia

  • Dima Gusakov | Lido

    How elPayment is validated?

  • potuz

    It’s not

  • Dima Gusakov | Lido

Then what’s the point of it?

  • Dima Gusakov | Lido

    I can put anything there

  • potuz

    That’s just like today

  • potuz

You trust that you will receive that payment

  • Toni Wahrstätter

Replying to "I can put anything there" you lose reputation, that's it

  • Dima Gusakov | Lido

I mean today you don’t have it on CL

  • potuz

And they can put whatever there

  • Justin Traglia

Replying to "Then what’s the poin..." For p2p bids, this value must be zero. But if you receive a bid from elsewhere, it can be a non-zero value. In which case you are trusting that the builder will make the appropriate payment.

  • Justin Traglia

One note, bid.value must come from the builder’s balance but bid.execution_payment could come from elsewhere.

  • Nico Flaig

Barnabas tested lodestar circuit breaker already

  • potuz

BTW Dima, we actually had this field outside of the signed part of the bid, it needs to be somewhere cause the builder needs to inform it to the proposer. We added it to the bid cause it can’t hurt, but it can easily be outside of the bid and kept offchain
